Dt Swiss Xm 421 27.5´´ 25 Mm Std Vi Disc Tubeless Mtb Rim. Experience the perfect balance of width and weight with the DT Swiss XM 421 rim. As wide as a downhill rim from just years ago, this All Mountain marvel is incredibly light at only 440g. Built with state-of-the-art welded aluminum and subjected to excessive testing, it´s engineered to perfection. The 25mm inner width provides excellent tire support for aggressive trail riding. Tubeless-ready and rated ASTM 4, the 27.5" XM 421 fears no trail, conquering rock gardens with confidence. Upgrade your ride with this strong, light, and reliable rim. A lightweight rim as wide as a downhill rim was just a couple years ago? State of the art materials and excessive testing make it possible. DT Swiss knows exactly how light it can design a product to fullfill its purpose to perfection. This is why the XM 421 is as light as an All Mountain rim can get, yet still fears no trail, no matter what rock gardens it has on the menu.Features:System weight:- The system weight is composed of the weight of the rider and his equipment, plus the bike with luggage.Rim Diameter:- The 700c (622 mm / 29 inches) is the most common wheel size for road racing. The 650b (584 mm / 27.5 inches) wheel size is used in specific areas. Each wheel size offers unique advantages for different kinds of riding.Rim height:- In cycling, rim height significantly impacts the aerodynamics, agility and weight of the wheel. The general principle is the higher the profile of the rim, the greater the aerodynamic advantage, the lower the profile of the rim, the greater the response and better the handling when cornering and changing speed. Rim Inner Width:- DT Swiss offers MTB rims with inner rim widths of 20 - 76 mm. The right combination of tire width and rim width leads to ideal tire support. Better tire support reduces the risk of ´´burping´´ and therefore allows the tire pressure to be reduced. On the other hand, wider rims and wider tires also increase the weight of the wheels.Brake Interface:- The advantage of the Center Lock system is that the disc brake attachment is made with one single lock ring, which facilitates assembly. On the other hand, an advantage of the IS-System (6 Bolt) is that in the event of a necessary repair on the trail, no special tool is needed for disassembly. Welded:- Welded refers to a method used in making rims. In this case, the profile ends of the rim are connected by welding. This precise, stable and lightweight connection is used on all high-quality aluminum rims. This manufacturing process is the most expensive due to the effort involved, but it offers the most reliable connection. Hooked / Crotchet tubeless TC:- Hooked or crotchet refers to the shape of the rim flange. In this variant, the rim flange has a so-called hook. This supports the fixation of the tire bead and ensures safe function, also in high pressure use cases (>5 bar tire pressure). Tubeless refers to the ability of the rim to be used without a tube, but a tube set up is also possible. Pro Lock:- Pro Lock is a thread lock function which prevents the spoke-nipple connection from loosening, allowing for extremely durable wheel builds.
