Coros Pod The Coros Pod 2 is a lightweight and sleek GPS foot pod that solves many common problems encountered by runners when using GPS watches. It tracks movement directly from the foot, improving accuracy and pace sensitivity to help runners train smarter and more efficiently. Equipped with an advanced accelerometer, the Coros Pod 2 provides instant data directly from the foot, resulting in the most responsive pace displayed on your watch. Unlike GPS watches that rely on wrist sensors, the Pod 2 eliminates the up to 10-second delay caused by wrist sensors. Additionally, the Pod 2 includes a built-in pace alert feature, which ensures you stay within your targeted pace in nearly real-time, even when there is no GPS signal. The Pod 2 also provides accurate pace detection, even when running indoors. By plotting the motion of the foot on an XYZ plane, it automatically calibrates itself to calculate stride and distance run on a treadmill or an indoor track. It is an ideal training partner for indoor running workouts in winter or when the weather is bad. The Pod 2's internal sensors gather data that helps to auto-correct GPS disruptions, such as pace spikes and drops that can occur when running through tunnels or in areas with tall buildings. It collaborates with your Coros watch to improve data consistency during your runs. The Pod 2 delivers advanced running metrics such as Effort Pace, a unique COROS metric that tells you how hard you're actually working when running on hilly terrain. With instantaneous data input from the Pod 2, your Effort Pace becomes even more accurate, allowing you to make split-second decisions and better analyze your overall exertion once a workout has ended. In addition to providing advanced running metrics, the Pod 2 is designed with smart detection of wearing position (shoe or waistband), providing key metrics to help you better understand your running gait, form, and technique. It records ambient temperature readings throughout your run, enabling you to analyze your runs as you train in different climates or during different seasons. With a powerful battery that stays charged for weeks and a portable charging dock that supplies up to 5 full charges, the Pod 2 ensures you never have to worry about a low battery. Weighing only 5.6g, the Pod 2 is incredibly lightweight, making it easy to wear during training or racing. It can withstand the elements from below-freezing temperatures to high heat (14°F to 140°F / -10°C to 60°C) and remains water-resistant up to 3 ATM. The Pod 2 can be worn on your shoe or clipped to your waistband, and will sleep to preserve battery life when it's not moving.
