Compared to oil-based lubricants, waxed chains are less prone to dirt build-up, extending drivetrain life and reducing maintenance intervals. MTB, cross, and frequent riders in all-weather conditions: Care should be done after 100km at the latest. Rewaxing The chain must be dry before applying the wax. Dewaxing is not required. Shake the bottle and apply wax to the inside of the chain (one complete turn). Do not wipe off excess wax. Allow the wax to dry completely before riding, especially in wet conditions.
