The Pirelli Scorpion XC RH Lite Tyre is a race-focused cross-country mountain bike tyre built for high speed, low rolling resistance, and precise control on fast and compact terrain. Its low-profile centre tread keeps drag to a minimum for quicker acceleration and stronger pedalling efficiency, while the pronounced side knobs maintain reliable grip through corners and technical sections. Developed with input from Pirelli's Motorsport technicians and used by World Cup XC and Marathon MTB teams, the Scorpion XC RH combines lightweight construction, responsive handling, and dependable traction for modern XC racing.Key Features and Benefits:Race XC Compound developed for XC racing performance: This high-performance mono-compound uses technology shaped by Pirelli's Motorsport experience to maximise chemical grip and rolling speed. It delivers fast acceleration, strong traction on wet and dry terrain, and consistent response under load. The result is a tyre that maintains speed efficiently while giving reliable control during aggressive race efforts.Low-profile centre tread optimised for rolling efficiency: The compact tread pattern reduces rolling resistance by limiting drag across hard-packed and fast terrain. This helps transfer more rider power directly into forward speed with less energy loss. The outcome is improved efficiency on climbs, faster acceleration out of corners, and stronger pace over long race distances.Pronounced side knobs for cornering support: Larger side tread blocks increase grip when leaning the bike into turns or riding across loose edges. This added support improves tyre stability during fast direction changes and technical sections. The result is more consistent handling and greater confidence when carrying speed through corners.LITE casing with 120tpi multi-ply Nylon construction: The lightweight casing uses a high thread count to improve flexibility while reducing overall tyre weight. This creates a supple ride feel that tracks terrain accurately and rolls quickly over uneven surfaces. The outcome is faster response, reduced fatigue, and improved efficiency during long XC rides and races.Tubeless Ready construction for modern XC setups: The TLR design supports easy tubeless installation and maintains bead stability on modern wide rims. Running lower tyre pressures improves grip and comfort while reducing the risk of pinch flats. The result is better traction, improved control, and fewer interruptions during demanding rides.Made in Italy with FSC Certified materials: The tyre is manufactured in Italy with certified materials that meet recognised environmental standards. This supports high production consistency alongside responsible sourcing practices. The outcome is a premium XC tyre that combines race-ready performance with trusted build quality.Fast XC riding depends on maintaining momentum without losing control when the terrain changes. The Scorpion XC RH Lite Tyre is built to keep rolling speed high while giving the grip needed for technical race sections. Its lightweight 690g construction improves acceleration and climbing response, while the Race XC Compound maintains traction across wet roots, hardpack, and loose surfaces. The balanced tread design supports efficient pedalling on straight sections without compromising stability when cornering at speed. The Pirelli Scorpion XC RH Lite Tyre is built for riders who want maximum rolling efficiency with dependable race handling. With lightweight construction, advanced compound technology, and proven XC performance, it is ready for modern cross-country riding and racing.
