The Pirelli Scorpion XC RH Tyre is a race-focused mountain bike tyre built for speed, low rolling resistance, and confident control on hardpack XC terrain. Its fast-rolling centre tread keeps momentum high on compact trails, while pronounced side knobs improve cornering grip on technical sections. Developed with Pirelli's Race XC Compound and trusted by World Cup XC and Marathon MTB teams, it delivers rapid acceleration, efficient power transfer, and dependable handling in changing conditions.Key Features and Benefits:Race XC Compound developed with Pirelli Motorsport expertise: This high-performance mono-compound rubber is tuned for XC racing and delivers low rolling resistance with strong chemical grip on both dry and wet terrain. The compound reacts quickly under load, helping improve acceleration and maintaining traction during hard pedalling and cornering. This gives you better speed retention and more control across fast race courses.Low-profile centre tread design for rolling efficiency: The compact tread pattern reduces drag as the tyre rolls across firm ground, helping lower the effort needed to maintain speed. This improves pedalling efficiency over long XC loops and race stages, while also helping preserve energy during repeated climbs and fast transitions.Pronounced side knobs for cornering control: Larger shoulder knobs increase grip when leaning the bike into turns or riding across loose edges on compact terrain. The added side bite helps stabilise the tyre during high-speed direction changes and technical sections. This leads to more predictable handling and improved confidence through corners.LITE Casing with multi-ply 120tpi Nylon construction: The lightweight casing uses a supple high-thread-count structure that reduces overall tyre weight while improving flexibility over rough terrain. The casing conforms more effectively to trail surfaces, improving rolling feel and maintaining traction without adding unnecessary bulk. This creates a faster and smoother ride response.PRO WALL sidewall reinforcement technology: Reinforced sidewalls increase support and impact resistance during aggressive XC riding. The added protection helps reduce the risk of cuts and casing damage when riding rocky trails or hard-packed technical sections. This improves durability while also supporting tyre stability during hard cornering loads.Tubeless Ready construction with bead stability technology: The TLR design supports easier tubeless setup and creates a secure fit on modern wide rims. Running lower pressures improves grip and comfort without increasing the risk of pinch flats. The stable bead design also helps maintain tyre shape under heavy cornering forces for more consistent handling.Fast XC riding depends on maintaining speed without losing control on rough or technical terrain. The Scorpion XC RH balances these demands with a tread pattern that rolls quickly on compact surfaces while still providing dependable grip through corners and uneven sections. Its lightweight construction supports efficient climbing and rapid acceleration, while the reinforced casing helps manage impacts and aggressive race conditions. The result is a tyre that supports high-speed riding without compromising stability or durability. For riders chasing quicker lap times and stronger race performance, the Pirelli Scorpion XC RH delivers the speed, grip, and efficiency needed for modern XC riding. Its race-proven construction and low-resistance design make it a strong option for competitive training and race-day setups alike.
