The Pirelli Scorpion XC RC Lite Tyre is a lightweight cross-country race tyre built for high speed, low rolling resistance, and precise handling on modern XC courses. Its updated tread pattern, larger volume, and new Race XC compound improve grip, comfort, and stability across mixed terrain. The latest casing design also makes the tyre 7% faster than the previous version, helping you carry speed with more control on technical race tracks and natural trails.Key Features and Benefits:Updated World Cup-proven tread pattern: The revised tread keeps the fast-rolling design used by elite XC racers but adds a squarer profile and increased contact area. This gives the tyre more grip when cornering and braking, while keeping rolling resistance low. The result is more consistent speed and better line control across loose dirt, hardpack, roots, and rock sections.Increased tyre volume (29x2.4"): The larger casing volume improves comfort and reduces trail vibration at race pace. This helps the tyre stay planted on rough terrain and improves traction under power. The outcome is greater control on technical climbs and better stability through high-speed sections.Race XC mono-compound rubber: Pirelli's fastest MTB compound is designed to balance chemical grip with low rolling resistance. The compound maintains traction in wet and dry conditions without slowing the tyre down on faster terrain. This gives you dependable cornering grip and efficient speed transfer throughout long XC races and marathon rides.LITE casing construction with 120tpi nylon: The lightweight multi-ply casing reduces overall tyre weight while keeping the ride feel supple and responsive. The flexible structure improves terrain conformity, which increases grip and rolling efficiency over uneven surfaces. The outcome is faster acceleration and improved handling without excess weight.Tubeless Ready technology: The TLR casing is built for secure bead stability on modern wide rims and straightforward tubeless setup. Running lower tyre pressures improves traction and comfort while reducing the risk of pinch flats. This gives you more confidence on rough tracks with improved rolling speed and puncture resistance.Advanced casing structure and sidewall support: The updated construction improves durability and handling under race loads while maintaining a lightweight design. The reinforced structure helps the tyre resist deformation in aggressive corners and technical terrain. The result is more predictable handling and better support during hard racing efforts.Modern XC racing demands speed without losing control on rough and technical terrain. The updated Scorpion XC RC Lite addresses this with a faster casing design, improved tyre shape, and a compound that keeps rolling resistance low while maintaining grip in changing conditions. Its lightweight construction helps reduce rotational mass for quicker acceleration, while the increased stability supports precise handling through demanding race sections. The Pirelli Scorpion XC RC Lite Tyre combines race-tested tread design with modern XC performance upgrades for riders who want fast rolling speed, reliable grip, and lightweight efficiency in one package. Its balanced handling and low weight make it a strong choice for competitive XC riding and marathon racing.
