The Pirelli Scorpion XC RC Tyre is a race-focused cross-country tyre built for higher speed, stronger grip and improved control on modern XC trails. The updated design combines a proven World Cup tread pattern with a larger volume, squarer profile and new Race XC compound to deliver faster rolling, stable cornering and reliable traction across mixed terrain. Its advanced casing construction balances low weight with added durability, while the tubeless-ready design improves bead stability on modern wide rims. Made in Italy and FSC Certified, the Scorpion XC RC is engineered for riders who need race efficiency without losing confidence on technical sections.Key Features and Benefits:Increased tyre volume: The updated casing shape creates more internal air volume, which improves shock absorption and reduces trail vibration at speed. This helps maintain tyre contact over rough terrain, leading to better control, less rider fatigue and more stability on demanding XC coursesSquarer tyre profile: The revised profile increases the contact patch during cornering and braking, which improves grip consistency across loose, rocky and hard-packed surfaces. This provides more predictable handling and stronger support when changing direction at speedRace XC compound: Pirelli's fastest MTB compound is designed to reduce rolling resistance while maintaining strong chemical grip in wet and dry conditions. This allows the tyre to carry speed more efficiently while still delivering dependable traction on roots, rocks and loose terrainAdvanced casing construction: The multi-ply 120tpi Nylon casing combines low weight with a supple ride feel and increased structural support. This improves rolling efficiency and terrain tracking while helping the tyre stay stable under heavy cornering and braking loadsPRO WALL sidewall reinforcement: The reinforced sidewall structure increases puncture protection and improves tyre support during aggressive riding. This helps reduce casing flex in corners and adds durability for modern XC tracks with sharper rocks and technical trail featuresTubeless Ready technology: The TLR design improves air retention and bead stability on modern wide rims, making setup easier and more reliable. Running lower tyre pressures increases grip and comfort while reducing the risk of pinch flats during hard impactsModern cross-country racing demands a tyre that rolls quickly without losing control on technical terrain. The Scorpion XC RC is built to meet that balance with a faster overall design that is engineered to be 7% quicker than the previous generation. The updated tread pattern maintains strong braking and climbing traction, while the larger casing and reinforced structure improve stability through rough sections and high-speed corners. This combination helps riders maintain momentum across changing terrain without sacrificing precision or durability. The Scorpion XC RC combines World Cup-tested design with modern XC technology to deliver speed, grip and dependable handling in one lightweight package. With its updated casing, fast Race XC compound and stable profile, it is built for riders who want consistent performance across every section of the trail.
