The Pirelli Scorpion XC M Tyre is a fast and adaptable cross-country race tyre built for mixed terrain, wet conditions, and modern XC tracks. Developed from World Cup racing, it combines low rolling resistance, strong chemical grip, and a lightweight construction to improve speed, control, and reliability across technical courses. The updated design is 9% faster and 12% lighter than the previous version, giving you quicker acceleration, better efficiency, and dependable handling on changing terrain.Key Features and Benefits:Race XC Compound: Pirelli uses its fastest MTB race compound to deliver strong chemical grip on dry and wet surfaces. This allows the tread pattern to stay lower and more efficient without losing traction. The result is faster rolling speed, improved acceleration, and stable control across technical XC courses.Mixed-terrain tread design: The medium tread height and balanced spacing give the tyre grip on loose ground while keeping rolling resistance low on harder surfaces. This helps maintain speed through changing trail conditions and keeps handling predictable on natural trails and man-made features.Compact central tread channel: The centre tread layout reduces drag and improves rolling efficiency during hard efforts and long race stages. This helps conserve energy over marathon distances while still providing enough braking traction and cornering support for aggressive riding.Lightweight construction: Available in a LITE casing at only 690g, the tyre reduces rotating weight to improve acceleration and climbing response. The lower weight helps the bike react faster under power and keeps handling agile on technical XC tracks.PRO WALL reinforced casing: The PRO WALL version uses sidewall reinforcement technology to improve puncture resistance and tyre stability during hard cornering. This added protection helps reduce tyre damage on rough terrain and keeps handling consistent at lower pressures.Tubeless Ready technology: The TLR construction is designed for secure bead stability and easier setup on modern wide rims. Running tubeless allows lower tyre pressures for added grip and comfort while reducing the risk of pinch flats during demanding rides.Modern XC racing demands a tyre that can balance speed, grip, and reliability without compromise. The Scorpion XC M is built to handle varied terrain efficiently while keeping control steady in technical sections and wet conditions. Its updated compound and tread profile improve traction without adding drag, while the lightweight casing options help maintain fast acceleration and responsive handling through every stage of a race or long-distance ride. The Pirelli Scorpion XC M Tyre delivers race-focused speed, dependable grip, and proven durability for modern XC riding. With lightweight casing options, advanced compound technology, and mixed-terrain performance, it is ready for fast riding across demanding trails and race courses.
