The Zipp 404 S Carbon Tubeless Front Wheel is a fast, modern road wheel built for racing and high-speed training. Its 50mm-deep carbon rim helps reduce aerodynamic drag, while the wide 23mm internal profile supports wider tubeless tyres. This combination helps improve speed, rolling efficiency and control without adding excess weight.Key Features and Benefits:50mm carbon rim depth: The deep rim profile reduces aerodynamic drag as speed rises. This helps the wheel hold speed with less effort on fast roads, race circuits and exposed sections.23mm internal rim width: The wide rim supports modern, higher-volume road tyres and gives them a stable shape. This can lower rolling resistance and improve grip when the tyre is run at a suitable pressure.Hookless Tubeless Straight Side rim: The straight rim wall removes the traditional bead hook and is designed around compatible tubeless tyres. This creates a modern tyre and rim interface while supporting lower tyre pressures for added comfort and control.Tubeless tyre compatibility: The rim is made for tubeless tyres only, so an inner tube is not needed in normal use. Lower pressures can improve grip and reduce vibration while also lowering the risk of pinch flats.20-hole 2-cross spoke build: Twenty spokes are arranged in a 2-cross pattern to balance wheel stiffness, strength and weight. This gives the front wheel stable support under steering and braking loads without using more spokes than needed.Sapim CX Sprint spokes: These bladed spokes combine a slim aerodynamic profile with the stiffness needed for performance road wheels. They help reduce air resistance while maintaining precise wheel response during hard riding.Zipp 76 front hub: The Zipp 76 hub uses stainless steel cartridge bearings and a 12x100mm thru-axle fitment. This provides smooth rotation and secure front wheel support for modern disc brake road bikes.Centre Lock disc brake fitment: The hub accepts Centre Lock disc rotors for a secure and simple rotor interface. Disc braking keeps braking performance separate from the carbon rim and provides consistent control in a wide range of road conditions. The 404 S is aimed at riders who want one front wheel that can cover fast training, racing and regular road use. Its 50mm profile gives a useful aerodynamic advantage without moving to an extreme rim depth. The 23mm internal width also makes the wheel well suited to wider modern road tyres, helping balance speed with grip and comfort. For a road bike that needs a faster front wheel with modern tubeless compatibility, the Zipp 404 S offers a strong mix of aerodynamics, tyre support and dependable disc brake performance. Its lifetime warranty and Crash Replacement policy also add useful long-term support for regular riding and racing.Specifications:Wheel Size: 700cRim Construction: Hookless/Tubeless Straight Side (TSS)Tyre Compatibility: Tubeless tyres onlyRim Depth: 50mmBrake Compatibility: Disc, Centre LockRim Profile: SymmetricalNipple Material: AluminiumSpoke Count: 20Spoke Pattern: 2 CrossAxle Type: TA 12x100Bearings: Cartridge, Stainless SteelMax Tyre Pressure: 73psi / 5.0barMax Recommended System Weight: 115kg
