The Raleigh Pop 16 Kids Bike is a simple and practical first pedal bike for young riders moving on from a balance bike or stabilisers. Its 16in wheels and 9in frame suit smaller riders, while the chainguard helps keep the drivetrain covered. Anti-slip pedals give small feet a secure platform, and internal cables help keep the frame neat and free from loose cables.Key Features and Benefits:16 inch Wheels: The smaller wheel size is suited to young riders and keeps the bike at a manageable height. This makes it easier for children to control the bike as they build their riding skills.9 inch Frame: The compact frame is sized for smaller riders, helping them sit in a natural position with easy access to the controls. This supports better balance and makes the bike easier to handle.Chainguard: The chainguard covers the chain and front chainring to create a useful barrier around the drivetrain. This helps keep clothing away from moving parts while also shielding the chain during everyday use.Anti-Slip Pedals: Rubber anti-slip pads provide extra grip between the rider's shoes and the pedals. This helps small feet stay in place and gives children a more stable platform when pedalling.Internal Cables: Cables are routed through the frame rather than being left exposed. This reduces the chance of them catching on clothing and gives the bike a clean, tidy finish.Child-Friendly Braking: Adjustable two-finger brake levers are designed to suit smaller hands. They make the brakes easier to reach and operate, helping young riders learn how to control their speed and stop safely. The Pop 16 is designed to make the move to independent riding more manageable. Its compact proportions help young riders stay in control, while the simple single-speed setup removes the need to think about changing gears. Child-friendly controls also let them focus on balance, steering and braking as their confidence grows. For children ready to move up to a 16in pedal bike, the Raleigh Pop 16 provides a straightforward setup built around their needs. Its practical safety features and simple controls make it a strong choice for developing the skills needed for independent cycling.
