The 2026 Trek Marlin 5 Gen 3 Hardtail Mountain Bike is the second bike in the Marlin range and has been our best-selling mountain bike for the last couple if years. The Marlin 5 comes with upgraded gears and brakes from the Marlin 4, making it more suitable for off-road use. The Marlin is built around a lightweight aluminium frame with internal routing to protect your cables and add to the bikes sleek look. Big tyre clearance and slack, confidence-boosting geometry keeps you stable from singletrack to city. The frame and wheels vary according to the size of the bike. The XXS and XS bikes have a curved top tube to reduce the standover height. The XXS bikes comes with 26 wheels, the XS and S sizes come with 27.5 wheels and all other sizes come with 29 wheels.The Marlin 5 comes with Shimanos new 9 speed CUES gears and Shimano hydraulic brakes.
