Puerto del Carmen-Timanfaya-Famara-Teguise-La Geria
Lanzarote, departing from Puerto del Carmen Road Medium
A medium level route from Puerto del Carmen climbing Timanfaya and visiting Famara and Teguise. Starting at Puerto del Carmen ride towards Puerto Calero and then towards Uga and Yaiza. We will be climbing Timanfaya from Yaiza and then descending in to Mancha Blanca. After having passed through the lava fields of Timanfaya head towards La Santa and then Famara, which is at sea level and climb towards Teguise, San Bartolome and the wine region of La Geria. Just before La Geria turn left towards Tegoyo, Tias and descent towards Puerto del Carmen. If you can start your ride before 9am the road will be virtually traffic free. For extra kilometres you can also add an El Golfo loop after Yaiza.
