La Cuesta from Mazarron

This is definitely the harder climb to the top of La Cuesta. It's a long climb but not very hard to an experienced cyclist. It starts from the roundabout on the RM-332 towards Cartagena and it is 9.2 kms all the way to the top. Again the first part of the climb is steady and it gets steeper for the second half especially towards the end, where some of the bends are very steep with up to 18% incline. The road surface is good but not busy. After you reach the top, get ready for a pleasant descend into Cartagena.
