Cabezo de la Plata is a popular climb on the outskirts of Murcia. As you heading out from Murcia turn right on to RM-F56 and follow the sign to Cabezo de la Plata. It is a typical narrow Spanish country road and the first 6 kms is a mixture of small sharp inclines, declines and flat sections. The serious climbing starts after kilometre 6, where the average gradient for the rest of the 3.6kms is 6%.
This segment was part of the first stage of the Vuelta Ciclista Murcia 2019 (Tour of Murcia) and it is a cat 3 climb.
