On the outskirts of Tortana, a small spanish town, the Alto Cresta del Gallo is one of the ways into Sierra Espuna. Just 5km after the top of this segment, a slightly ascending section will led you to the bottom of the famous category 1 climb Alto Collado Bermejo, which is a hard climb. This is a steady 9 km climb and it has a total ascent of 329m with a maximum elevation of 581m. This segment was part of the second stage of the Vuelta Ciclista Murcia 2019 (Tour of Murcia) and it is a cat 3 climb.
