Playa San Juan to El Teide - West climb
Tenerife, Spain Road
This is the western climb up Teide, starting from Playa San Juan instead of Chio. Take the TF-463 towards Guia de Isora and then join TF-38, which will take you, all the way up to Mirador de Boca Tauce. This is a longer ride starting from nearly sea level. It's a steady gradient with lots of straight sections on the road. Road surface is excellent with little traffic after you Guia de Isora. Just admire the uniqueness of El Teide. Make sure you have enough water and food for the climb.
