ZIPP 101 XPLR Carbon CL Disc Tubeless Rear Wheel - Conquer Every SurfaceUnleash your spirit of adventure and redefine the boundaries of drop-bar riding with the ZIPP 101 XPLR Carbon Disc Tubeless rear wheel. Purpose-built for the new era of gravel and all-road exploration, this is ZIPP´s first-ever wheelset designed specifically to master the challenges of unpaved terrain. The 101 XPLR is engineered not just for speed, but for ultimate control, comfort, and durability, transforming your ride into a smoother, faster, and more confidence-inspiring experience. Whether you´re tackling chunky gravel, winding forest roads, or transitioning back to pavement, this 28´´ / 700c rear wheel is your key to unlocking new possibilities. At the heart of the 101 XPLR´s revolutionary performance is ZIPP´s proprietary MOTO Technology. This innovative single-wall carbon rim design allows the wheel to pivot from the spoke bed, creating a suspension-like effect that absorbs harsh vibrations and impacts. This compliance drastically reduces rider fatigue on long, demanding days, allowing you to stay fresher for longer. The result is a ride that feels less like you´re fighting the terrain and more like you´re floating over it. This ankle compliance ensures the tire remains planted on rough and off-camber surfaces, delivering superior traction when you need it most—climbing loose grades, cornering with speed, or descending with unwavering confidence. This rear wheel is optimized for modern riding styles, featuring a generous 27mm internal rim width. This wide, hookless profile is the perfect platform for running wider tubeless tires at lower pressures. Doing so creates a larger contact patch for incredible grip, a smoother tire profile for lower rolling resistance, and a significant increase in overall comfort. This Clincher design gives you the choice to run traditional tube-type or advanced tubeless setups for enhanced puncture protection and performance. The Low profile < 30 mm rim depth further enhances compliance and handling in varied conditions without being susceptible to crosswinds, making it a truly versatile choice for any adventure.Engineered for the demands of Road Cycling and beyond, the wheel is built around the robust and reliable ZIPP ZR1 Disc Brake hub. With 66 points of engagement, the ZR1 hub provides lightning-fast power transfer, giving you an immediate response when you put power to the pedals. This is critical for accelerating out of tight corners or powering up steep, technical climbs. The hub is designed for the universally adopted CenterLock rotor mounting system and a 12x142mm thru-axle standard, ensuring stiff, reliable, and powerful braking performance from your Disc Brake system. Paired with 28 durable Sapim CX-Sprint spokes, this wheel combines strength and lightweight performance, ready to withstand the rigors of your most ambitious rides.Key Benefits:* Unmatched Comfort & Control: Experience a dramatically smoother ride and reduced rider fatigue thanks to the innovative MOTO Technology single-wall rim that absorbs trail chatter.* Superior Traction: The rim's ability to flex keeps the tire in constant contact with the ground, providing exceptional grip on loose and uneven surfaces.* Optimized for Wide Tires: The 27mm internal width perfectly pairs with modern, high-volume gravel tires, allowing for lower pressures, increased comfort, and a larger contact patch.* Responsive & Durable Hub: The ZR1 hub offers quick engagement for instant acceleration, while the overall build ensures long-lasting durability for countless miles of exploration.* Versatile Performance: Ideal for gravel racing, bikepacking, or endurance road riding, offering a perfect blend of speed, compliance, and strength.---Technical Specifications:* Brand: ZIPP* Item type: Wheel* Item name: 101 XPLR* Size: 700c* Front/Rear: Rear* Use: Gravel* Brake type: Disc brake* Axle and OLD: 12x142 mm thru axle* Boost compatible: No* Body: SRAM/Shimano Road* Tire type: Tube-type or Tubeless tires* Rim: Carbon* Rim width (Inside): 27 mm* Rim color: UD carbon fiber* Mounting type rotor: CenterLock* Hub: ZR1* Hub color: Black
