However, this lightweight advantage does not come at the cost of strength. The rim features WTB's signature I-Beam construction, an internal reinforcement that adds significant stiffness and strength to the rim cavity, effectively countering spoke loads and absorbing impacts without adding unnecessary weight. This is further enhanced by 4D spoke drilling, which creates the perfect angle for the spoke nipple to interface with the rim, reducing stress on the components and leading to a stronger, longer-lasting wheel build. With a versatile 23mm inner width, the Kom Light i23 rim provides an ideal platform for a wide spectrum of tire sizes. It offers optimal sidewall support for tires ranging from 30mm to 54mm, making it a perfect match for everything from fast-rolling gravel tires to aggressive cross-country treads.
