This is the tyre for race day, time trials, and every situation where marginal gains make the difference between the podium and the pack.Unleash Your Maximum SpeedThe core benefit of the P ZERO™ Race SL-R is its uncompromising focus on reducing rolling resistance to an absolute minimum. Every element of its design is optimised to help you slice through the air and glide over the tarmac with unparalleled efficiency. The SL-R designation, standing for Super Light - Racing, signifies a construction that sheds every unnecessary gram, resulting in explosive acceleration, easier climbing, and the ability to hold higher speeds with less effort. This tyre transforms your power output directly into forward momentum, making it the perfect weapon for chasing personal bests and securing KOMs/QOMs.Key Features for Elite Performance* Advanced SmartEVO2 Compound: The tyre features the next evolution of Pirelli´s high-performance racing compound. This single, advanced formulation is engineered to provide an exceptional balance of low rolling resistance for speed and reliable grip for confident handling, both in dry and wet conditions. It ensures predictable performance when cornering, braking, and accelerating at the limit.* Supple 120 TPI Casing: A high-thread-count 120 TPI casing provides a remarkably supple and flexible structure. This allows the tyre to conform perfectly to the road surface, not only smoothing out imperfections for a more comfortable ride but also maintaining maximum contact for enhanced grip and road feel. The lightweight nature of the casing is central to the tyre´s low overall weight.* Optimised Tubeless Technology: Built with a Tubeless Ready Casing (TBC), the P ZERO™ Race SL-R is designed to be run without an inner tube. This setup allows for lower tyre pressures, which increases the contact patch for superior grip and comfort. It also significantly improves puncture resistance when used with a sealant, providing peace of mind during a crucial race or an epic ride.* Minimalist, Speed-Focused Design: True to its racing pedigree, the SL-R features a slick central tread for minimal rolling resistance on the straights, with subtle texturing on the shoulders to enhance cornering feedback. The construction is stripped back to focus purely on performance, delivering a direct and exhilarating connection to the road.Technical Specifications and Attributes:* Usage: Road Cycling* Tyre Type: Folding, Tubeless* Size: 28´´- 700* Width: 30* ETRTO: 30 - 622* Compound: SmartEVO2* Technology: SL-R (Super Light - Racing)* Weight: Approx. 295g* Recommended Rim Width: 19C (Hooked or Hookless, check manufacturer compatibility)Choose the PIRELLI P ZERO™ Race SL-R TBC 120 TPI when every second and every watt counts.
