Scott Centric Plus Mips Helmet. Unleash peak performance with the SCOTT Centric Plus MIPS helmet. Engineered for elite road and MTB racers, it boasts unparalleled aerodynamic efficiency and exceptional ventilation. Featuring the innovative MIPS® Air Node system, this ultra-lightweight helmet offers superior brain protection while maximizing airflow. Its advanced Aero Optimized design, developed with pros and wind-tunnel tested, minimizes drag for faster speeds. The HALO Fit System ensures a secure, comfortable fit, and durable PC In-Mold construction provides a sleek, featherlight profile. Conquer any road with confidence. The SCOTT Centric Plus was designed and developed for our world-class road and mountain bike racers. We leveraged our extensive aerodynamic expertise to make one of the lightest and best ventilated helmets in its class. This was achieved through optimization of airflow on both the outside and the inside of the helmet. MIPS® Air provides the benefits of a MIPS® Brain Protection System and features a unique construction to further enhance ventilation.Features:- Optimized Ventilation- New MIPS® Air Node Brain Protection System integrated in the padding- Lightweight construction- In-Mold Technology, Polycarbonate Micro Shell- Aero Optimized- MIPS® Air Brain Protection SystemSpecifications:- Approx. weight: 220 g- Certification: PPE Cat. II according to EN 1078:2012+A1:2012Technology:Aero Optimized:- Our Aero-optimized helmets were developed in cooperation with our Pro athletes. Designed and engineered to maximize aerodynamics, these helmets allow for that precious increase in rider speed. Extensive testing in the wind tunnels allowed us to minimize drag in multiple head positions.MIPS® Safety System:- The brain is typically more sensitive to rotational motion than linear motion because it has shear properties similar to water or gel. When different parts of the brain move relative to each other because of rotational motion, the tissues can stretch, which can cause concussions or other brain injuries.Rotational motion is a common cause of concussions and more severe brain injury in oblique hits to the head. The Mips® safety system consists of a low friction layer mounted inside the helmet. In a crash, the low friction layer is designed to move slightly inside the helmet to help redirect forces away from the head. This is intended to help reduce the risk of brain injury.A Safety System That Mimics The Brain:- Unlike traditional helmets, which are mainly designed and tested for straight impacts, the Mips® safety system's low-friction layer mimics the brain's own system for protection against rotational motion.HALO Fit System:- Our top-of-the-line HALO Fit System ensures easy adjustability and unparallelled comfort. Find the perfect height of the rear ergonomic cradle while the helmet is on your head and dial in optimal pressure using the beautifully engineered micro-adjustment dial. The result: our most comfortable helmet yet, a helmet that adapts to your head shape and leaves you feeling secure and focused on the ride.PC In-Mold Construction:- During the in-mold manufacturing process, the outer shell of polycarbonate material is fused with the helmet's impact-absorbent foam liner, creating a super-lightweight outer shell. With reduced weight and bulk surrounding the head, in-mold helmets are more comfortable than traditional helmets. tradeinn Bikeinn
