We paired our aluminium disc rim with Shimano's tough mid-level RS470 thru-axle disc hubs to create a handbuilt wheelset that is perfect for everyday commuting, training and winter riding. Ideal as a backup set of wheels and suited to rough gravel riding in poor conditions. Double Butted Spokes The wheelset uses spokes which have a thicker gauge at the hub end and a thinner gauge elsewhere, offering a good balance of strength and weight. This creates a better ride feel, durability and fatigue resistance. Shimano RS470 Disc Hubs The RS470 hubs uses high quality sealing cup and cone bearing, and an internal grease sleeve to keep dirt out of the moving parts.
