Zipp 858 NSW Carbon Front Wheel 2025 The Zipp 858 NSW Carbon Front Wheel 2025 represents the pinnacle of aerodynamic performance, now further enhanced by Zipp’s proprietary Total System Efficiency technology. This system addresses the key forces that slow riders down: wind resistance, gravity, rolling resistance and vibration losses. The wheelset features a tubeless and hookless rim design for a seamless tyre interface and a significant reduction in weight. Despite its deep profile, the 858 NSW achieves weights comparable to wheelsets that are 20mm shallower. With a 23mm internal rim width, it is optimised for wider tyres running at lower pressures, improving rolling resistance and rider comfort. Its distinctive 82mm to 85mm deep Sawtooth rim profile delivers Zipp’s highest levels of aerodynamic efficiency and crosswind stability, making it a leading choice for triathletes, time trialists and speed-focused athletes. While the wheelset is optimised for tubeless tyres, it is also compatible with tubeless-ready clinchers used with inner tubes. For best results, a 28mm tyre is recommended. Disc brakes provide consistent braking performance in all weather conditions, while the premium ZR1 SL hub features ceramic bearings for immediate and smooth power transfer.
