Built for strength, efficiency, and Enduro performance, the Shimano FC-M9220 XTR Crank Set delivers lightweight durability with precise drivetrain compatibility. It features hollow cold-forged Duralumin crank arms, a direct-mount chainring interface, and a 55mm chain line tailored for aggressive trail riding. With optimised stiffness and weight, it offers reliable power transfer on demanding terrain.Key Features and Benefits:HollowTech II cold-forged Duralumin arms: The hollow crank arm design uses forged Duralumin to reduce weight without compromising strength. This improves pedal efficiency and durability on technical trails.Direct mount chainring interface: Chainrings mount directly to the crank arm, removing the need for a spider. This increases torsional stiffness and simplifies chainring changes, saving weight and boosting power transfer.55mm chain line and 176mm Q-factor: The wider chain line suits modern Enduro frames and offers better tyre clearance. The balanced Q-factor maintains natural pedalling motion, reducing knee strain during long rides.Integrated spindle and crankset connection: The splined bottom bracket spindle connection creates a tight, secure interface. This design improves rigidity, which leads to smoother, more responsive pedalling.Lightweight 12-speed system compatibility: Weighing just 587g, it pairs with Shimano HG+ 12-speed chains and SM-CRM96 chainrings. This ensures clean, consistent shifting under load.Modular system without chainring or bottom bracket: Sold separately, these components allow riders to customise their setup. This adds flexibility for tuning gear ratios and drivetrain compatibility.Precision and stiffness are the primary reasons riders choose this crank set. Every feature is focused on maximising power output and reducing flex under load. Its cold-forged Duralumin construction handles the demands of Enduro while keeping weight low. The 55mm chain line offers perfect alignment with modern wide-boost frames, ensuring consistent chain retention and efficient pedalling in rough conditions.Complete your drivetrain upgrade with a crank set engineered for trail reliability and fast, responsive shifting. Built for riders who need strength and control without added weight, the FC-M9220 is a dependable choice for 12-speed performance.
