Shimano s RT-CL700 Ice Tech Rotor delivers consistent braking performance through advanced heat control, long pad life, and a reliable Centre Lock fit. Its layered steel and alloy construction disperses heat efficiently, while the refined rotor surface improves pad contact and cooling.Key Features and Benefits:Clad steel aluminium steel rotor construction: The rotor s layered build pulls heat away from the braking surface into the aluminium core. This helps lower surface temperatures by around 50°C, reducing thermal stress and supporting consistent braking under load.Ice Tech heat management system: When used with Ice Tech pads, rotor temperatures drop from about 400°C to 300°C. This results in less fade, better brake control, and improved performance on long descents or under repeated braking.Refined rotor surface: The contact surface clears debris and improves airflow around the pads. This helps maintain braking efficiency, lowers pad wear, and ensures quieter operation in wet and dry conditions.Shimano Centre Lock mounting with included lockring: The system uses a spline mount and lockring to secure the rotor. This setup offers strong rigidity and a fast, secure installation process for both internal and external lockring options. The RT-CL700 is designed to maintain braking stability in high-heat situations where fade can limit control. Its construction and pad interface work together to prolong pad life, reduce noise, and ensure reliable performance under pressure. This makes it a practical choice for riders who demand lasting braking consistency across variable terrain and conditions.Upgrade your braking system with a rotor built for controlled heat dissipation, quiet performance, and long-term pad efficiency all with simple and secure setup.
