SQlab 710 Short Grips are ergonomic comfort grips designed for bikes with twist grip gear systems, combining pressure-relieving hand support with a shortened right grip for precise shifting and long-ride control.Built for Rohloff, Nexus, and Alfine setups, these grips retain the proven 710 ergonomics while adapting the right side to work cleanly with twist shifters. The result is balanced hand support, reduced pressure on sensitive areas, and consistent control across long distances on trekking and comfort-focused MTB bikes.Key Features and Benefits:Shortened right grip for twist shift compatibility: The right grip is reduced in length to allow full rotation of twist shifters without interference. This ensures smooth, accurate gear changes while maintaining ergonomic hand support on both sides.Relief wing for pressure distribution: The shaped wing supports the heel of the hand and spreads load across a wider surface. This reduces pressure on the ulnar nerve and lowers the risk of numbness during long rides.Raised outer grip end for stability: The flared outer edge supports the hand during cornering and when riding out of the saddle. This improves control and helps prevent the hand from slipping outward under load.Ergobar for defined hand positioning: A subtle bar structure guides finger placement and improves grip security. This leads to more consistent steering input and reduced grip fatigue over time.Internal clamping system: The clamp sits on the inside of the grip, leaving the outer area free to flex. This increases damping at the contact point and improves comfort on rough surfaces.High-grip rubber compound: The compound balances traction and cushioning while remaining free from harmful substances. This provides a secure feel in wet or dry conditions without harsh feedback through the bars.Matched grip pair configuration: Supplied with a standard-length left grip and a shortened right grip. This preserves full ergonomic support while ensuring correct function with twist grip drivetrains.Consistent hand comfort and reliable control matter most on longer rides and mixed terrain. The 710 Short grips address this by combining pressure relief, secure hand placement, and drivetrain compatibility in a single, balanced design. Each ergonomic detail works together to reduce fatigue, improve stability, and maintain precise control throughout the ride.A practical upgrade for riders using twist shifters who want proven ergonomics without compromise, these grips offer a clear step forward in comfort and control for everyday riding and extended outings.
