The Continental Terra Competition Race Rapid Gravel Tyre is a high-speed gravel race tyre built for fast acceleration, low rolling resistance, and efficient performance across mixed terrain. Its Rapid Compound stands out by delivering quick response and strong forward drive while maintaining grip on hardpack and fast gravel. Combined with a lighter construction that cuts weight by up to 16% and reduces rolling resistance by up to 17%, it helps riders maintain speed with less wasted effort. The result is a tyre designed for sharp handling, efficient climbing, and sustained pace on demanding gravel routes.Key Features and Benefits:Rapid Compound engineered for speed and acceleration: This performance-focused rubber blend reduces energy loss as the tyre rolls while maintaining dependable grip on fast gravel surfaces. The result is quicker acceleration and improved efficiency so riders can maintain higher speeds with less effort.Up to 16% weight reduction compared to the previous generation: A lighter tyre reduces rotational mass, which improves responsiveness when accelerating or climbing. This lower weight allows riders to pick up speed faster and maintain momentum across rolling terrain.Up to 17% lower rolling resistance: Reduced rolling resistance allows the tyre to move more freely over compact gravel and hardpack surfaces. This efficiency helps conserve rider energy, making it easier to sustain high speeds over long distances.Race casing with light and supple one-ply construction (3/330 TPI): The high-thread-count casing increases flexibility so the tyre conforms better to uneven ground. This improves grip and ride comfort while maintaining the fast feel required for competitive gravel riding.Tubeless Ready construction: Running tubeless allows lower tyre pressures without risking pinch flats. Lower pressure improves traction and stability on loose surfaces, resulting in better control and confidence when riding fast gravel terrain.Advanced puncture protection for race reliability: Reinforced protection layers help guard against cuts and punctures from sharp gravel and debris. This improves durability during demanding rides and reduces the risk of interruptions during long events or training sessions.Speed and efficiency are central when riding fast gravel terrain. The Rapid Compound plays a key role by reducing rolling resistance while still providing dependable grip on hardpack and compact gravel. The lightweight race casing improves responsiveness and keeps the tyre feeling quick under power. Together, these features help riders sustain speed over long distances, maintain momentum on climbs, and handle mixed terrain with consistent control. For riders focused on fast gravel performance, the Continental Terra Competition Race Rapid delivers the efficiency and responsiveness required for competitive riding and high-speed training. Its lightweight construction, Rapid Compound, and race-focused casing provide the performance advantages needed to keep pace on demanding gravel routes.Specifications:Terrain: Hardpack, fast gravel, all-roadCasing: Race - light and supple one-ply constructionCompound: Rapid - speed-focused performance blendConstruction: 3/330 TPICompatibility: E-Bike approved up to 25 km/hSizes: 28 × 1.40 (35-622), 28 × 1.55 (40-622), 28 × 1.75 (45-622)Bead: Foldable Tubeless ReadyWeight: Approx. 345-470 g depending on sizePressure range: 65-79 PSIRecommended sealant: 30 ml Conti RevoSealant per tyre
