The Swissstop Catalyst Race Centre Lock Disc Brake Rotor is a lightweight, race-ready rotor built for high braking efficiency, reduced weight, and improved aerodynamics. At 12% lighter than the Catalyst Pro, it delivers faster acceleration and reduced rotational mass while maintaining strong, consistent braking. Its two-piece construction, optimised brake track, and aerodynamic spider design ensure reliable control under race conditions.Key Features and Benefits:12% lighter than Catalyst Pro: Reduced rotor weight lowers rotational mass, which improves acceleration and responsiveness. This helps maintain speed with less effort, especially during repeated changes in paceTwo-piece construction: Separates the braking surface from the carrier to manage heat more effectively and reduce distortion. This leads to more consistent braking performance and longer component lifeBrake ring optimised for race pads: The braking surface is tuned for use with high-performance pads, improving friction control and modulation. This results in precise braking with less fade under load1.8mm rotor thickness: Provides a stable braking platform with controlled heat distribution. This supports reliable braking feel and reduces the risk of warping during hard useAluminium alloy spider for increased stiffness: The rigid carrier improves power transfer from the hub to the braking surface. This ensures consistent braking force and better control under high loadsNew aerodynamic spider design: Reduces drag while maintaining structural strength. This supports improved efficiency at speed without compromising braking performanceLow weight and stable braking are critical for race performance. This rotor reduces rotating mass while maintaining stiffness and heat control, helping maintain consistent braking under load. The optimised brake track and rigid spider work together to deliver predictable braking force, even during high-speed descents or repeated braking zones.A rotor that combines low weight, aerodynamic efficiency, and reliable braking is a strong upgrade for race-focused builds. It supports consistent performance where it matters most, making it a dependable choice for competitive riding.
