The Genesis Croix De Fer 40 Gravel Bike - 2026 is a steel gravel bike built for durability, wide-range gearing, and reliable control across mixed terrain. A Reynolds 725 steel frame delivers strength and compliance for long rides, while a Shimano GRX 1x12 drivetrain provides a wide gear range with simple operation. Hydraulic disc brakes offer consistent stopping power, and 45c tubeless-ready tyres improve grip and comfort on rough surfaces.Key Features and Benefits:Reynolds 725 steel frame construction: This heat-treated steel tubing is designed for strength and controlled flex, which helps absorb vibration from rough terrain. The result is reduced fatigue over long distances and improved comfort on mixed surfaces.Shimano GRX 1x12 drivetrain: A single chainring paired with a wide-range 10-51T cassette simplifies shifting while still offering low climbing gears and high-speed options. This reduces mechanical complexity and ensures consistent gear changes across varied gradients.Shimano GRX 610 hydraulic disc brakes: Hydraulic braking systems apply even pressure across the rotor, delivering reliable stopping power in wet and dry conditions. This improves control on descents and increases confidence on loose terrain.Maxxis Rambler 700x45c tubeless-ready tyres: These high-volume tyres can be set up tubeless to run lower pressures without pinch flats. This increases grip, reduces rolling resistance, and improves comfort on uneven ground.Amplitude GR100 rims with 32H hubs: A 32-hole wheel build increases spoke count for added strength and load capacity. This supports durability when carrying kit and maintains wheel stability on rough tracks.Genesis CrMo fork design: A chromoly fork offers strength and vibration damping while maintaining precise steering. This improves front-end control and reduces harsh feedback on longer rides. This bike supports steady progress across mixed terrain without adding complexity to your setup. The wide gear range helps maintain cadence on steep climbs and fast sections. Steel frame compliance reduces strain over distance, while the braking system maintains control in poor conditions. The wheel and tyre setup adds grip and stability, which helps you stay consistent across changing surfaces. This is a practical choice for riders who want a dependable gravel bike that handles distance, load, and varied terrain with ease. Its balanced specification supports consistent performance, making it well suited to long rides, commuting, and off-road use.Size Guide:X-SMALL - 156 to 164cmSMALL - 164 to 172cmMEDIUM - 171 to 179cmLARGE - 178 to 186cmX-LARGE - 185 to 193cm
