The Renthal Apex V2 Stem is a high-strength, lightweight MTB stem designed to improve front-end stiffness, control, and fit for modern bikes. Its wider 56mm body increases torsional stiffness to keep steering precise under load, while refined shaping integrates with modern frames and head tubes. A forged and CNC-machined build ensures durability without excess weight, and proven clamp designs deliver secure, consistent bar and steerer grip. Clean external lines and a premium finish complete a stem built for demanding use.Key Features and Benefits:Wide 56mm stem body: The increased width spreads load across a larger surface area, which raises torsional stiffness and reduces flex under heavy steering input, resulting in more direct handling and improved front-end accuracy on technical terrainForged and CNC-machined construction: Forging aligns the material grain for strength, while CNC machining refines critical areas for precision, giving a strong yet controlled structure that resists fatigue and maintains performance over timeExtensive internal machining: Material is removed from non-critical areas inside the stem body, lowering overall weight without affecting structural strength, which helps reduce front-end mass and maintain responsive handling260° handlebar clamp design: The wrap-around clamp supports more of the handlebar surface, spreading clamping force evenly to reduce stress points, leading to a secure hold that protects the bar and improves control consistencyAngled, side-mounted steerer clamp: This design improves clamping alignment and load distribution on the steerer tube, creating a firm, even grip that reduces the risk of movement and maintains steering precision2014 aluminium body with 7050 aluminium faceplate: The main body offers a balance of strength and weight, while the higher-grade faceplate alloy handles clamp forces effectively, ensuring long-term durability under repeated loadBlack-plated stainless steel hardware: Corrosion-resistant bolts maintain clamping integrity in wet and muddy conditions, reducing maintenance needs and ensuring consistent torque retentionRefined external profile with premium finish: A smooth, sculpted outer shape improves frame integration and reduces stress risers, while blasted and polished finishes add durability and a clean, professional appearancePrecise steering and front-end stability are critical when loads increase through rough terrain or aggressive riding. The wider stem body works with the bar clamp and steerer clamp to limit unwanted flex at key contact points. This controlled stiffness keeps inputs consistent and predictable, while the balanced construction avoids unnecessary weight gain. The result is a stable cockpit connection that supports accurate line choice and reliable handling across varied conditions. The Renthal Apex V2 Stem brings together strength, low weight, and precise clamping in a clean, refined design. It fits modern cockpit standards and supports confident handling when it matters most. A practical upgrade for riders who want consistent control from their front end.
