Specialized S-Works Crux 5 Gravel Frameset The S-Works Crux 5 gravel frameset serves as the ultimate foundation for riders who refuse to compromise on their dream gravel build. Engineered with FACT 12r carbon, the frame weighs a staggering 789 grams, making it a market leader in the pursuit of lightweight performance. This frameset is designed to bridge the gap between the agility of a road racing machine and the rugged demands of off-road competition. By focusing on a power-to-weight ratio that remains unmatched in the industry, it provides a platform that excels on punishing inclines and technical sectors, ensuring that your custom build starts with the most competitive chassis currently available. Revolutionary Aerodynamics and Geometry Speed in gravel racing is often dictated by the ability to maintain momentum against the wind, and this frameset incorporates advanced aerodynamic profiling usually reserved for the World Tour. The Crux 5 geometry is meticulously tuned to handle dirt with the same intuitive responsiveness that the Tarmac brings to the pavement. Despite its aero-optimised tubes and integrated design, the frame maintains the compliance necessary to dampen high-frequency vibrations from rough tracks. This balance of speed and stability is validated through real-world testing on professional race courses, proving that a more efficient frame leads directly to a faster time to finish regardless of the terrain. Precision Engineering and Versatile Standards For the discerning cyclist, the technical details of this frameset offer both high-end performance and practical reliability. It features a 68mm BSA threaded bottom bracket, providing a creak-free interface and easy maintenance for those who race in demanding conditions. The inclusion of an S-Works Tarmac carbon seatpost further enhances the aerodynamic profile while offering a familiar, race-proven feel. Whether you are building a wireless 1x powerhouse or a versatile multi-surface rig, this frameset provides the freedom to select your ideal componentry without sacrificing the core benefits of the lightest and most aerodynamic gravel architecture ever engineered.
