Smith Transit Jr. MIPS Helmet is a lightweight kids' bike helmet made for school rides, local trips, and everyday cycling. It combines Mips protection, in-mold construction, 16 fixed vents, and a rear vent that fits the rechargeable Smith Transit Light, sold separately. A dial-adjustable fit system helps create a secure feel, while two youth sizes support a better fit as young riders grow.Key Features and Benefits:Mips Safety System: Mips is designed to reduce rotational forces caused by angled impacts to the head. This adds an extra layer of protection for young riders during day-to-day bike use.Transit Light compatibility: The centre rear vent is made to fit the rechargeable Smith Transit Light (sold separately). This helps improve rider visibility in low light, busy areas, and dull weather.Lightweight in-mold construction: The outer shell is fused to the EPS foam liner to form a strong one-piece design. This keeps the helmet light, low bulk, and durable for regular use.Adjustable dial fit system: The rear dial lets you fine-tune the fit around the head. This helps the helmet sit more securely, which supports both comfort and safety.16 fixed vents with AirEvac design: The fixed vents help move air through the helmet, while AirEvac works with Smith eyewear to help reduce lens fog. This keeps the rider cooler and helps maintain clear vision.Youth-specific sizing: Two sizes cover Youth X-Small at 48-52cm and Youth Small at 51-55cm. This makes it easier to choose a close fit for children aged around 4 to 12.A secure fit, light feel, and added visibility are key parts of a good kids' cycling helmet. The Smith Transit Jr. MIPS Helmet supports this with a dial fit system, low-bulk webbing, a comfort liner, and a rear light-ready design. It also meets U.S. CPSC, CE EN 1078, and AS/NZS2063 safety standards, so it is built for regular bike use.Choose the Smith Transit Jr. MIPS Helmet for a practical mix of protection, comfort, airflow, and light-ready visibility. It is a strong choice for young riders who need a dependable helmet for daily cycling.
