Specialized S-Works Tarmac SL9 Frameset The all-new S-Works Tarmac SL9 frameset is the definitive foundation for the fastest road bike ever made-;a purebred chassis engineered to dominate British roads. If your goal is to curate a bespoke superbike tailored specifically to your racing needs, this frameset provides the ultimate starting point. It sheds every unnecessary gram whilst maximising aerodynamics, giving you a blank canvas to build a machine that turns your every effort into pure velocity. For riders who refuse to accept off-the-shelf compromises, the Tarmac SL9 frameset leaves absolutely no room for error. Architectural Speed and Real-World Validation While complete bikes are often judged by their components, the true speed of the Tarmac SL9 lies inherently within the frame design itself. It delivers the lowest real-world Time to Finish of any chassis in history, featuring tube profiles optimized to reduce drag without adding bulk. Validated across real race courses with real riders, this frame handles crosswinds, blustery headwinds, and high-speed descents with unparalleled stability. It ensures that whatever components you choose to bolt onto it, the underlying platform is mathematically proven to get you to the line faster. The Pinnacle of Carbon Engineering: FACT 12r For hill-climb specialists and weight-weenies, this frameset represents a monumental engineering achievement. Constructed from top-tier FACT 12r carbon, the bare frame tips the scales at an astonishingly svelte 687 grams. When combined with the forks and small parts, the total module weight is a mere 1.56 kg. This featherweight construction allows you to build a bike that defies gravity on steep gradients, yet the advanced carbon layup retains the immense bottom-bracket stiffness required for explosive out-of-the-saddle accelerations. High-Performance Small Parts and Integration Choosing the S-Works Tarmac SL9 frameset means inheriting a system where the small details receive World-Tour attention. The chassis comes equipped with a Ceramic Speed SLT headset, utilizing solid-lubrication technology to ensure friction-free, corrosion-resistant steering even through wet British winters. Additionally, the proprietary S-Works Aero Carbon Post is included, specifically shaped to slice through the air whilst providing just enough compliance to smooth out rough tarmac, keeping you fresher for longer.
