Specialized S-Works Recon Evo Gravel/XC Shoes The heart of the Specialized S-Works Recon Evo Gravel/XC Shoes lies in its revolutionary PowerHug closure system. By utilising a redesigned, enlarged heel counter and a full-wrap architecture inspired by the world-class Ares 2, these shoes eliminate foot slip during high-torque efforts. Whether you are sprinting out of a technical corner or grinding up a steep fire road, the dual BOA® dials allow for micro-adjustments that keep you stable and connected. This isn’t just about a tight fit; it’s about a more explosive, efficient pedal stroke that feels as direct as a road shoe but is built for the dirt. Lab-Tested Comfort for the Long Haul Performance often comes at the cost of comfort, but the Recon EVO breaks that cycle using Body Geometry science. Built on the Natural Last, these shoes are designed to reduce forefoot pressure by a staggering 44%, significantly lowering the risk of "hot spots" during all-day epics. By incorporating the Varus Wedge and Longitudinal Arch support, Specialized ensures your foot, knee, and hip stay in perfect alignment, boosting efficiency and reducing injury risk. Finished with high-traction TPU lugs for those inevitable hike-a-bike sections, the Recon EVO is the ultimate investment for riders seeking World Champion-level tech underfoot. Sizing note:  Specialized shoes run approximately half a size small. When in doubt, size up -; most customers find they need one size larger than their usual EU size. Pedal Compatibility These off-road cycling shoes are compatible with MTB and trekking pedal systems utilising the 2-bolt cleat system, such as Shimano SPD, Look Trekking and X-Track, crankbrothers Candy, etc..
