The Marin Alpine Trail 1 Full Suspension Mountain Bike - 2026 is a long-travel enduro bike built for steep, rough and technical trails. Its Series 4 aluminium frame uses the same adjustable platform as the top-level Alpine Trail XR. You get 170mm front travel, 160mm MultiTrac LT rear travel, mixed wheels and built-in downtube storage. Shimano Deore 12-speed gears and TRP four-piston brakes add simple, proven control.Key Features and Benefits:Series 4 6061 aluminium frame with adjustable geometry: The headset changes the head angle by ±0.75°. Flip chips alter the bottom bracket height and chainstay length. A further setting lets you fit a 29in rear wheel. This gives 12 setup choices, so you can tune stability, steering and rear-wheel clearance for local trails.170mm front and 160mm MultiTrac LT rear suspension: The X-Fusion Vengeance fork and custom-tuned H3A air shock work with a Horst-link design. The system absorbs large hits while keeping support under braking and through turns. This helps the tyres hold the ground and reduces harsh feedback on rough descents.Mixed-wheel Maxxis tyre setup: A 29x2.5in Assegai MAXXGRIP EXO+ front tyre rolls over impacts and holds firm on loose ground. The 27.5x2.5in Minion DHR II MAXXTERRA DoubleDown rear tyre changes line with less effort and adds casing support. Both tyres are tubeless compatible, so lower pressure can add grip and comfort.Shimano Deore 12-speed drivetrain: The 10-51T cassette and 32T chainring provide a wide gear range. The low gears help on steep climbs, while the smaller steps help you hold a steady pace. The Deore rear derailleur and I-Spec EV shifter deliver clean and direct gear changes.TRP Slate EVO four-piston brakes: The front and rear brakes use 203mm rotors. Four pistons spread force across each pad, while the large rotors help control heat. This provides strong braking with less lever force and steady performance on long descents.Bear Box storage and TranzX dropper post: The frame storage includes a bag for a TPU tube, mini pump and tools. The dropper gives 150mm, 170mm or 200mm of travel based on frame size. This keeps key items off your back and creates more room to move on steep ground.Long descents demand a bike that stays calm as fatigue builds. The 63.5° head angle, 780mm bar and short 35mm stem form a stable steering base. The tyre compounds place softer grip at the front and firm support at the rear. This balanced setup helps you hold a line and control speed through rough or tight sections. The Alpine Trail 1 is a strong choice for enduro riding, technical trail centres and bike-park days. Select the right frame size, set the geometry to suit your terrain and put its long-travel chassis to work.Size Guide:Frame size - Rider heightSmall: 160-168cm / 5'3"-5'6"Medium: 165-178cm / 5'5"-5'10"Large: 178-185cm / 5'10"-6'1"Extra Large: 185-193cm / 6'1"-6'4"
