The X-Track Race MTB Pedals are lightweight clipless pedals built for mountain biking, perfectly suited to cross-country and trail use. They use a stiff composite body with a Chromoly+ axle for efficient power transfer and long-term strength. The SPD-compatible mechanism also clears mud and debris to help keep engagement reliable in poor trail conditions.Key Features and Benefits:Lightweight composite body: The pedal body uses a strong composite material based on the design of the X-Track Carbon and Ti models. This keeps weight down while giving the pedal the stiffness needed for hard efforts. The result is a 415g pedal pair that balances low weight with everyday durability.Chromoly+ axle: A strong Chromoly+ spindle supports the pedal body and handles the loads created through the crank. Its high stiffness helps limit unwanted flex when you push through the pedals. This creates a firm platform that transfers your effort into the drivetrain.SPD-compatible mechanism: The retention system works with standard SPD cleats and compatible MTB shoes. This gives you access to a widely used cleat format without needing a separate pedal-specific shoe setup. It also makes the pedals easy to fit into an existing SPD system.Mud-shedding engagement system: The open mechanism allows mud and debris to clear from around the cleat contact points. This helps the cleat locate and engage even when the bottom of your shoe is dirty. It gives you more reliable clipping in when riding through wet, loose or muddy conditions.Adjustable cleat tension from 6 to 14: The spring tension can be changed to control how firmly the pedal holds the cleat. A lower setting makes clipping out easier, while a higher setting gives stronger retention. This lets you tune the pedal to suit your riding style and preferred level of foot security.6° float with a 13° release angle: The cleat allows 6° of rotational movement while you remain clipped in. This gives your feet and knees room to move through each pedal stroke and can help reduce strain on longer rides. A 13° release angle then gives a clear and predictable point for disengagement. The X-Track Race is designed to give riders a secure connection to the bike without making the pedal feel restrictive. Its 60mm platform provides a stable contact area under the shoe, while the 53mm Q-Factor keeps the foot position close to the crank. The 16.8mm total pedal and cleat stack also helps maintain a direct feel between your shoe and the bike.Choose the X-Track Race MTB Pedals if you want a light, stiff and adjustable SPD-compatible pedal for regular off-road riding. Their strong axle, mud-clearing design and tunable retention make them a practical option for riders who value reliable engagement and efficient power transfer.Specifications:Weight: 415gSpindle material: Chromoly+Body material: CompositeQ-Factor: 53mmPlatform width: 60mmTotal stack height (pedal and cleat): 16.8mmSPD Cleat tension: 6 to 14Float angle: 6 degreesRelease angle: 13 degrees
