Silca Protocol RCG 1 Gravel Tyre Engineered to deliver an unfair advantage on race day, the Protocol RCG-1 gravel tyre by SILCA bridges the gap between road-like rolling speed and high-volume off-road compliance. Built ground-up for modern, wide-rim gravel setups, this race-ready tyre is purpose-built for high-tempo events like Gravel Worlds and SBT GRVL, as well as fast-paced mixed-surface rides. By combining a supple 120 TPI Race Casing with robust GhostShield protection, it strikes the ultimate balance between flat-out velocity, durable puncture resistance, and terrain-smoothing control across coarse tarmac and loose dirt alike. Speed Optimized Tread Design At the heart of the RCG-1 is SILCA?s fastest Pulsar compound, paired with an intelligent dual-personality tread pattern that adapts instantly to your riding. The center section features tightly spaced, low ramped directional tread that drastically reduces rolling resistance while providing reliable traction under heavy braking. When leaning into loose-over-hard sweeping corners at high speeds, elevated and elongated side knobs seamlessly engage the ground, expanding the contact patch to deliver maximum grip, total cornering stability, and absolute line choice confidence. Modern Sizing for Unmatched Performance Unlike traditional options stretched onto wider setups, the RCG-1 is the first gravel tyre designed around modern rim profiles, delivering true-to-size widths when measured on a 25mm internal rim width after 24 hours. Available in generous 45mm, 50mm, and 55mm volumes, this lightweight tyre maximises compliance to combat fatigue over brutal distances without sacrificing speed. For cyclists seeking the fastest, most capable tyre on the market to elevate their off-road performance, the Protocol RCG-1 is the definitive go-to upgrade.
