The Scott Addict 50 Road Bike - 2027 is a carbon road bike built for speed, comfort and long days in the saddle. Its HMF carbon frame combines low weight with a more relaxed fit than a race bike. Shimano 105 12-speed shifting and hydraulic disc brakes give you reliable control. Wide 34C tyres also help smooth out rough roads.Key Features and Benefits:Addict HMF carbon frame: Scott's HMF carbon construction keeps the frame light, stiff and responsive while adding useful vertical compliance. The Addict is 25% more compliant than the race-focused Addict RC, which helps reduce road feedback and fatigue on longer rides.Comfort-focused ride geometry: A taller stack and shorter reach create a more upright position than Scott's race platforms. This reduces the need for an aggressive riding posture, which can make long road rides more comfortable while still giving you an efficient position for faster efforts.Shimano 105 24-speed drivetrain: The mechanical Shimano 105 setup uses a 50/34T chainset with an 11-34T cassette. This gives you close ratios for maintaining speed on flat roads and lower gears for steep climbs, with dependable mechanical shifting that is simple to maintain.Shimano 105 hydraulic disc brakes: BR-R7170 hydraulic calipers work with 160mm rotors at the front and rear. Hydraulic braking gives you strong, controlled stopping power with less hand effort, helping you manage speed with confidence in wet weather and on long descents.Syncros RP2.0 wheels with 34C Schwalbe ONE tyres: The durable disc wheelset is paired with wider folding road tyres for a useful mix of speed, grip and comfort. The larger tyre volume can run at lower pressures, which helps absorb rough road surfaces and keeps the bike settled through corners.38mm tyre clearance and integrated storage: Clearance for tyres up to 38mm gives you scope to add more volume for rough roads and mixed surfaces. Integrated frame storage and the supplied Syncros handlebar tool also provide space for essential ride equipment without adding a bulky external setup. The Addict 50 is well suited to riders who want to cover long road miles without using an extreme race position. Its compliant carbon frame, relaxed geometry and wider tyres reduce the strain that can build up over several hours. You still get the stiffness, gearing and braking control needed for quick group rides, climbs and fast descents. For regular road riding, long weekend routes and faster training sessions, the Scott Addict 50 offers a practical balance of comfort and performance. Its proven Shimano 105 components and versatile frame design make it a strong choice for riders who want one road bike for a wide range of rides.Size Guide:Bike Size - Recommended Height RangeXS - 154-167cm (5'0"-5'7")S - 163-173cm (5'4"-5'8")M - 170-179cm (5'7"-5'10")L - 177-187cm (5'9"-6'1")XL - 185-197cm (6'0"-6'5")
