The Burgtec The Cloud DH Saddle is a downhill-specific saddle built to give riders more freedom to move around the bike. Its compact shape, targeted padding and reinforced construction are designed for steep, technical riding where control and clearance matter most. Developed with Burgtec athletes and tested at World Cup level, it focuses on support without adding unnecessary bulk.Key Features and Benefits:Compact 230mm x 126mm profile: The shorter length and narrow width create more room for the rider to move around the bike. This reduces saddle interference when shifting body position on steep descents, technical sections and fast changes in terrain.Strategic air foam cushioning: Padding is placed in the areas where support and impact protection are most useful rather than across the whole saddle. This provides comfort when contact is made while keeping the overall shape slim and easy to move around.Sturdy black ED Cro-Mo rails: Strong Cro-Mo rails provide a durable base for the saddle and are suited to the demands of downhill riding. The robust construction helps the saddle handle repeated impacts and hard use on rough terrain.Reinforced TPU tabs: Durable TPU sections add protection in areas that are more exposed to knocks, abrasion and contact with the bike or ground. This extra reinforcement helps reduce wear and supports long-term durability.Race-developed silhouette: The low-profile shape was refined through athlete feedback and real-world testing. Its clean outline reduces excess material around the rider, helping the saddle stay out of the way while still providing support when needed. The Cloud DH is designed around movement rather than pedalling efficiency. Its short, narrow form gives riders more usable space above and behind the saddle, while the targeted cushioning provides support without making the saddle bulky. This makes it better suited to gravity riding where body position changes often and quickly. For riders building a downhill bike around control, clearance and durability, the Burgtec The Cloud DH Saddle provides a purpose-built option shaped by race use and rider feedback. Its compact dimensions and reinforced construction make it a practical choice for demanding gravity riding.
