Save £370 on the electric hybrid with a Halfords Motoring Club member offer

Halfords has included the Boardman MTX-E 8.6 2026 men’s electric hybrid bike in its Black Friday Early Access promotion, bringing the price down to £1,280 for Motoring Club members, compared with the listed £1,650.

That is a £370 saving, approximately 22%, making this a worthwhile offer to consider if you are looking for an electric bike for commuting, leisure rides and everyday journeys.

What does the Boardman MTX-E 8.6 offer?

The 2026 men’s model combines a Bafang mid-drive motor delivering 70Nm of torque with a 378Wh battery integrated into the aluminium frame.

The motor provides assistance for hills and longer journeys, while the hybrid design makes the bike an option for riders who want one bicycle for weekday transport and weekend exploring.

As with any electric bike, the distance available from a charge depends on the assistance setting, terrain, rider weight and riding conditions. Consider your usual journey length and opportunities to recharge before buying.

How to get the £1,280 member price

Halfords says shoppers must join or log in to Halfords Motoring Club to unlock its Black Friday Early Access discounts. The standard £1,650 price may still appear before you access the member offer.

Is it worth considering?

At £1,280, the advertised men’s model offers a substantial reduction for cyclists considering an electric hybrid. The mid-drive motor is a particular reason to look more closely if your regular rides include hills.
