SHIMANO XTR WH-M9220-TL 29 28H MTB Rim | The Pinnacle of Trail and XC PerformanceElevate your mountain bike build with the SHIMANO XTR WH-M9220-TL 28H Rim, the very same rim used in Shimano´s flagship XTR Trail wheelset. Whether you are repairing a world-class wheel or building your dream machine from the ground up, this rim delivers the precision, strength, and lightweight characteristics synonymous with the XTR legacy.Optimized for Aggressive Riding and Superior ControlExperience a new level of confidence and traction on the trail. The WH-M9220-TL rim features a generous 30mm internal width, perfectly designed to support modern, wider MTB tires. This wider platform creates a more stable, squared-off tire profile, maximizing the tire´s contact patch with the ground. The result is phenomenal cornering grip, enhanced braking traction, and the ability to run lower tire pressures for a smoother, more controlled ride over roots and rocks. Push your limits in technical sections knowing your wheels are providing maximum feedback and stability.Engineered for Unmatched Strength and DurabilityAt the heart of this rim´s exceptional performance is its asymmetrical profile. This intelligent offset design improves the bracing angle of the spokes, leading to more balanced spoke tension between the drive and non-drive sides of the wheel. A more evenly tensioned wheel is inherently stronger, stiffer, and significantly more durable, staying true for longer even under the punishing forces of competitive racing and hard trail riding. Complemented by a robust welded joint, which ensures a perfectly seamless and strong connection, this rim is built for long-term reliability and a perfectly balanced rotation.Seamless and Reliable Tubeless PerformanceDesigned from the ground up for tubeless (TL) applications, the SHIMANO XTR WH-M9220-TL rim features a meticulously shaped bead hook that provides a secure and airtight seal. This ensures easy tire installation and confident, burp-free performance even at the low pressures preferred by aggressive riders. Enjoy the full benefits of a tubeless setup—reduced rolling resistance, improved traction, and superior puncture protection—with a rim engineered for simple and dependable integration. This rim represents the pinnacle of Shimano´s alloy rim engineering, offering a remarkable strength-to-weight ratio that ensures rapid acceleration and nimble handling on climbs without sacrificing the resilience needed for high-speed descents.Technical Specifications:* Model: SHIMANO XTR Rim (for WH-M9220-TL)* Part Number: EWHRIMZ0006* Series: XTR M9200* Discipline: MTB Cycling, Rims* Wheel Size: 29* Brake Type: Disc Brake Only* Spoke Holes: 28* Rim Type: Tubeless (TL) / Clincher* Internal Rim Width: 30 mm* External Rim Width: 34.7 mm* Rim Height: 19.8 mm* Effective Rim Diameter (ERD): 600 mm* Rim Joint: Welded* Valve Hole: Presta* Recommended Tire Size: 29x2.25 – 2.60. tradeinn Bikeinn
