Mavic Comete 50 Cl Disc Tubeless Rear Wheel. Unleash pure speed with the Mavic COMETE 50 CL Disc Tubeless rear wheel. Engineered for ultimate aerodynamic performance and responsive acceleration, this 50mm carbon wheelset features an Aero Wide 23mm internal rim, carbon spokes, and Mavic Ceramic bearings. Experience exceptional stiffness, lightweight agility (1315g per pair), and precise control on any road. Adaptive Layup construction balances power transmission with vibration absorption for a truly dynamic ride. Dominate flats, conquer climbs, and maintain stability at high speeds with this versatile, premium wheel. The Mavic COMETE 50 is the aero carbon road wheel designed to ride fast anywhere: 50 mm profile, 23 mm internal Aero Wide rim, carbon spokes, Mavic Ceramic bearings, and a lightweight 1315 g per pair. A premium wheel for cyclists who want performance, acceleration, and control. The Mavic COMETE 50 carbon road wheels are designed for cyclists looking for a single set capable of going fast on the flats, staying responsive on climbs, and maintaining precise tracking at high speeds. Their 50 mm profile and 23 mm internal width, combined with 28 mm tires, optimize aerodynamics, efficiency, and control. The Adaptive Layup construction combines T700, T1000, and 3K fibers to balance stiffness, weight, and dynamic performance. The 21 Mavic Aero Carbon spokes per wheel enhance pedaling precision, while Mavic Ceramic bearings and the ID360 40T system improve smoothness and responsiveness. Weighing 1,315 g per pair, the COMETE 50 is positioned as a lightweight, versatile aero carbon wheel for road performance.Key benefits:The lightweight aero suit for pure speed:- The Mavic COMETE 50 carbon wheel is designed for speed, thanks to a unique combination of aerodynamics, lightness, and rolling efficiency: the Aero-Wide rim. Our engineers conducted numerous iterations, comparisons, and validations—including wind tunnel testing in Geneva—to optimize every element of the profile. The result: a wheel that's genuinely faster, responsive with every acceleration, and stable at high speeds, from the flats to climbs.Full-carbon responsiveness you can feel:- Our proprietary Adaptive Layup construction, which combines different fibers (T700, T1000, 3K), offers an ideal balance between stiffness, handling, and dynamic performance. The lightweight, aerodynamically profiled carbon spokes transmit every watt without loss while enhancing the wheel's sporty character: carbon spokes, aerodynamic spokes. Internal tests show that the 21/21 carbon spoke configuration—14/7 on each side—offers the best stiffness-to-aerodynamics-to-weight ratio for precise handling and perfect tension balance, further enhancing handling precision. The carbon spokes, capable of absorbing vibrations, improve comfort, stability, and control.Mavic´s expertise for ultimate control:- A bicycle wheel is more than just a collection of components, it's a delicate balance between conflicting advantages. Thanks to new carbon spokes, further-refined Aero Wide rims, and our 40-tooth ID360 dual-pawl freehub system, the Comete 50 combines lightness and responsiveness with spoke stiffness and balanced tension, so you can get the most out of every road profile, from fast flats to winding, undulating mountain routes.Specifications:- Weight Rear: 715 gHubs:- Freewheel technology: Instant Drive 360- Axle material: aluminum- Body material: aluminium- Freewheel: Shimano HG road / Sram XD road- Axle size: rear 12x142- Bearings : Mavic Ceramic- 40 teeth ratchets / 9°Rims:- Tire: UST Tubeless Ready- Tire: Tubetype or UST Tubeless Ready with Mavic Tubeless Tape- Braking: disc- Internal width: 23 mm- ETRTO size: 622x23TC hooked- Material: 100% carbon fiber- Drilling: traditional rear 21 holes- Profile: Hooked- Height: 50 mm- Max outer width: 30mmSpokes:- Material: unidirectional carbon fiber- Nipples: aluminium, black- Lacing: crossed 2 on high stress side (read drive side) and radial on opposite side for tension balance (durability) and stability.- Shape: straight, aero, selected in wind tunnel for lowest rotational dragTechnology:Adaptive Layup Carbon:- Optimized carbon layup for tailored combo of lightness, stiffness and compliance. tradeinn Bikeinn
