Reserve 48|53 GR Gravel Wheelset The Reserve 48|53 GR Gravel Wheelset is meticulously engineered for racers and fast-paced adventurers who demand ultimate speed and unwavering confidence when leaving the tarmac behind. Crafted as the fastest off-road wheelset Reserve has ever produced, this premium carbon upgrade is built entirely around the philosophy that aerodynamic efficiency is just as crucial on dirt, gravel, and mixed surfaces as it is on smooth asphalt. Featuring a staggered profile with a 48mm deep front rim and a 53mm deep rear rim, this wheelset manages crosswinds beautifully while significantly reducing aerodynamic drag. It is the definitive choice for competitive gravel riders looking to shave seconds off their personal bests and dominate demanding race courses. Revolutionary Wide Rim Profile and Advanced Flat Prevention The defining feature of this high-performance wheelset is its massive 30mm internal and 44mm external rim width, specifically optimized for modern gravel tyres ranging from 40 to 57mm. This super-wide stance supports the tyre sidewalls perfectly, creating a rounder tyre profile and a larger contact patch for drastically improved cornering grip and lower rolling resistance. Furthermore, the rims introduce an innovative wide hollow-bead design that removes excess material to shed weight from the outermost section of the wheel where it matters most for acceleration. This clever structural design also acts as a blunt shield against harsh impacts, drastically reducing the risk of pinch flats when running low tyre pressures over aggressive, rocky terrain. Elite Premium Hub Integration and Lightweight Durability Tipping the scales at a highly competitive 1,528g, this robust wheelset is built to survive the harshest racing environments without weighing you down on steep backcountry climbs. At the core of the build is the ultra-reliable DT Swiss hub system utilizing a 36T star ratchet for near-instantaneous engagement and efficient power transfer. Built with a 24 spoke count and a 2.8mm asymmetric offset to balance spoke tension, these wheels deliver a stiff, responsive ride quality. Available with either XDR or HG freehub bodies and using standard centerlock rotor mounts with standard 100x12 front and 142x12 rear thru-axle spacing, this elite upgrade integrates seamlessly into your modern gravel setup to transform your bike into a true speed machine.
