Silca Protocol RCG-4 Gravel Tyre Engineered for the most extreme off-road conditions, the Silca Protocol RCG-4 gravel tyre is the definitive choice when speed must be maintained through thick mud, sand, and loose rock. Designed to bridge the gap between adventurous gravel racing and technical singletrack, this high-performance tyre combines Silca?s ultra-fast Pulsar compound with a supple 120 TPI casing. Armed with comprehensive SealSkin bead-to-bead protection, it provides complete sidewall and tread resilience against sharp rocks and trail debris, allowing competitive cyclists to charge aggressively through sloppy, unpredictable terrain without fear of race-ending punctures. Aggressive Tread Dynamics for Superior Mud Shedding The defining trait of the RCG-4 is its specialized tread pattern, featuring widely spaced, tall lugs that actively prevent mud, sticky loam, and soft dirt from packing into the casing. Unlike traditional gravel tyres that quickly become clogged and lose traction in wet weather, this purposeful architecture actively flings clearing debris away with every wheel rotation. The larger, strategically angled knobs dig deep into off-camber surfaces, steep inclines, and loose conditions, delivering relentless bite and braking control when track conditions deteriorate. Modern Precision Sizing for Uncompromised Velocity Designed around modern wide rim profiles, the RCG-4 delivers true-to-size dimensions when measured on a 25mm internal rim width after 24 hours. Available in generous 45mm, 50mm, and 55mm volume options, this tyre maximizes air volume to smooth out harsh trail chatter and stabilize the contact patch over rough ground. For cyclists who refuse to let mud, rain, or technical singletrack slow them down, the Silca Protocol RCG-4 delivers unmatched traction, full-casing durability, and uncompromising race speed.
